1. WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies are small files stored on your computer, mobile phone or other device when you visit a website. They allow a website to remember information about your visit, such as your preferences, login status, shopping-cart contents and consent choices.

2. SCRIPTS, PIXELS AND WEB BEACONS

We may also use scripts, pixels, tags, local storage, software development kits and web beacons. These technologies help the website function, measure traffic and performance, prevent fraud, understand how users interact with our services and support relevant marketing.

3. TYPES OF COOKIES WE USE
3.1 Strictly necessary and functional cookies

These cookies are required for the website or platform to operate properly. They may be used to maintain security, enable navigation, remember account or cart information, keep users logged in, process consent preferences and provide a service specifically requested by you. These cookies may be placed without consent where permitted by law.

3.2 Preference cookies

Preference cookies remember choices such as language, region, display settings and other customisation options.

3.3 Statistics and analytics cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors use our website, which pages are viewed, how users arrive at the site and whether any technical issues occur. Where required, we will obtain your consent before placing them.

3.4 Marketing and tracking cookies

These cookies may be used to measure advertising, create user profiles, personalise content, or track users across websites or digital channels for marketing purposes. We will request consent before using these cookies where required.

5. EMBEDDED, PAYROLL AND WHITE-LABELLED JOURNEYS

Where a Boodle Mobile payroll journey is embedded in an Oxygen Mobile or employer-branded interface, cookies required to operate or secure that journey may be placed by Boodle Mobile or its service providers. The Boodle Mobile privacy and cookie disclosures apply to that embedded journey, and Oxygen Mobile does not obtain access to the User’s full card details.

6. THIRD-PARTY COOKIES

Some cookies are placed by third parties whose services are used on the website. These may include hosting, analytics, anti-spam, security, embedded-content, payment, product-supply or advertising providers.

Third-party providers process information under their own privacy and cookie terms. We recommend that you review those policies where a third-party service is presented or embedded.

7. CONSENT AND COOKIE SETTINGS

When you first visit the website, a cookie banner may allow you to accept, reject or manage non-essential cookies. Strictly necessary cookies will remain active because they are required for the website or requested service to function.

  • Functional: always active where strictly necessary.
  • Preferences: optional where they are not essential.
  • Statistics: activated only in accordance with your selected consent preferences, where consent is required.
  • Marketing: activated only after consent, where consent is required.

You may change or withdraw your consent through the cookie-preference tool made available on the website. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred lawfully before your preference was changed.

8. ENABLING, DISABLING AND DELETING COOKIES

You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. You may also configure your browser to notify you when a cookie is placed. If you block all cookies, parts of the website, account, cart, checkout or embedded product journey may not operate correctly.

9. PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTED THROUGH COOKIES

Cookie and tracking information may include your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, session details, consent preferences, pages viewed, actions taken, referral source, approximate location and other usage information.

We process this information in accordance with the Oxygen Mobile Privacy Policy and the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

Subject to POPIA and applicable law, you may:

  • request confirmation of whether we hold personal information about you;
